6/21/10 Update
Yikes! Okay, I'll just admit that I've virtually totally forgotten about this blog. Life rushes by so fast. But I've just finished November 2008 - so don't get confused - yes, I'm a year & half behind! Meanwhile my sister & mom keeps asking for photos of Katie! So I'm going to add some links for some photos. But before you check out the photos, check out the quickie updates right here!
- Nicole is finishing up her first year at McKinley in kindergarten. She's done so well & we are so proud for what she's learned this year. She can read so much now! We can no longer hide how to access & navigate the tivo remote controls since she's able to read everything on her own!
- Jason is spending a lot of hours at Alhambra Methodist Preschool. He still enjoys it there, but I'm thinking about keeping him home a bit more so I can spend some more time with him. He recently took part in his first try at swim classes - it took him a while to warm up to the idea of cooperating, but he finally participated really well in the last session!
- Katie is already 7 months old! She learned earlier how to flip from her back to her belly, and has only recently figured out how to go from her belly to her back! She's just started to sit independently this week! She is such a joy to play with & cuddle & kiss! I really gotta go get some nice photos of her soon!
- Chris & I are busy with the kids. It's a lot of work & we just have to buckle down & get by each day. I know that there's some stress at work, too, for Chris. I am reminded, though, that the children are a blessing from the Lord. And I need to look for those little moments to really relate & bond with them individually. As always, our Lord Jesus Christ has been the source of our daily strength.
Okay - here's what you're looking for: pictures!
Our Newest Little Chick
I wanted to introduce the newest member of our family while playing with Stampin' Up!'s new My Digital Studio. It's a digital papercrafting software program that allows me to create photo books, calendars, greeting cards with Stampin' Up!'s great artwork, colors & accessory images. Let me know what you think!
Sort of like a Drive-In Movie
Kwan Family Thanksgiving Get-together
Yay! Our family picture! Happy Thanksgiving!
Giving Me Some Attitude
Boy, the kids are giving me some attitude tonight!
Is Nicole teaching Jason what to do?.....
Or is Jason teaching Nicole what to do?!!
Actually they're just both goofing around & having some fun :)
Moppets on Stage
One of the highlights of MOPS is watching our kids on stage showing us a Bible song.
For some reason today, though, both were not that inclined to actually sing, but that's okay!
We cheered up at McDonald's afterwards! I'm a little sad though - we're headed to our winter break & won't return to MOPS until the end of January next year! I love MOPS & miss it when we're on break!
Alhambra Methodist Thanksgiving Program
Jason at Alhambra Methodist, getting ready for the Thanksgiving Program.
Goofy picture at a Wong playdate
Loved getting this goofy picture of the kids!
Nicole enjoyed playing with the Wongs!
But I'd have to say that Jason enjoyed playing with the Wongs' toys!
Police Officer Jason
It's nice to see Jason role play a little bit. Nicole (who is the resident expert at dressing up) has coached him a bit & got him into this police officer getup.
What do you think? Do I look authoritative enough?
Stop in the name of the law!
Sushiya with the Woos
It's a rare treat to go to a Japanese restaurant! But it's all the more fun when we get to hang out with the Woo's!
Hi Cousin Matthew
I think Nicole shares a special relationship with Cousin Matthew. Particularly since he's small for his age, Nicole loves to dote on him as a big sis.
Favorite Gold Shoes
Positioning her feet like a ballerina - notice the gold shoes! These shoes were her FAVORITE for a long, long time!
We Love Baby Ethan
Nicole really enjoys holding baby Ethan - he's so little!
Even Jason shares a tender kiss.
McDonald's Tradition
We are still keeping up with our post-MOPS McDonald's tradition.
